Our Family Traditions...
Everyone has their own traditions for each holiday they celebrate. I have spent every Thanksgiving I have been on this earth with my parents, except for 2 years. Once was in 1994 when they went to Hawaii ~ it was my oldest son's first thanksgiving and I cooked our traditional dinner for myself, my Grandmother and my brothers. The other time was when I went to my ex-husband's sisters house in Minnesota. I guess you could say that I am close to my family, lol.

We usually eat around 1 pm. Our menu includes:

Turkey of course
Homemade stuffing and some stove top - you can't fit a lot of stuffing in the turkey
Mashed potatoes and gravy
Corn
Orange squash
Rolls
Real butter - the fattening kind
Pickles - sweet and dill
Green olives
Pumpkin Pie
Pumpkin cheesecake - I make it each year
Coffee and hot tea (mom doesn't drink coffee)
YUMMY - I am getting hungry just typing this.
